Course Features

Greg Norman's Signature Design

Stonecutters Ridge is Greg Norman's signature championship course, featuring three distinctly themed landscapes that follow the natural flow of Eastern Creek and surrounding bushland, providing a variety of scenery and shot-making fun.

The fairway looks wide and gentle, but Greg Norman's unique risk-reward design is hidden here and there, so it is not only advantageous for long-distance players. The course is a course that requires shot-making and course management at the same time, even for advanced golfers, with bunker placement, water hazards, and undulating greens.

A typical example is the 7th hole, a par 4. It looks wide and gentle visually from the teeing ground, but the water hazard that runs along the entire left fairway requires a draw tee shot. If you don’t overdo it, laying up at a short point in the rough on the right side of the dogleg corner is also a safe method. The second shot is also not easy. The bunkers that run to the back and right of the green make the approach shot more careful, and the left side of the green is easy to avoid the bunkers, but requires a difficult chip shot and putting.

Public Championship, where anyone can play

Stonecutters Ridge is operated as a public course, so anyone can make a reservation and play a round even if they are not a member. If you are a golfer with a golf link number, it is a good idea to participate in the open competition held during the week. However, weekend tee times are very limited, so advance reservations are essential. In addition, the clubhouse with outstanding architectural design has various amenities, so it is highly satisfying to go with family or friends.

Overall Review

Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club is Sydney's only signature course designed by Greg Norman, and is a championship course worthy of its title as the host of the NSW Open. As expected of the host of the NSW Open, the course is well-maintained, and the practice facilities, including the practice range, putting green, and short game area, are nearly perfect.  The wide fairways invite players to let their guard down, but the water hazards and bunkers are cleverly placed, so course management is more important than long shots for score management.

The combination of wide open fairways and bushland, which are different from the city center, makes the course comfortable to play and any golfer will feel the urge to swing the club to their heart's content.
