Port Stephens - The Anchorage Hotel
Port Stephens, which I visit three or four times a year.
It is only 2 hours and 30 minutes from Sydney and has many things to see and do, so it is a popular place not only for Sydney residents but also for tourists visiting Sydney.
For those coming from Korea as part of a group tour, it is a one-day group tour course, but for those living in Australia, it is usually a place to rest for one or two nights.
I took photos of a day I spent at The Anchorage Hotel & Spa, a place I always wanted to stay for a night whenever I went to Port Stephens.
Although the weather was cloudy, the view while waiting to check in was full of excitement and anticipation.

Not only the outside scenery, but also the lobby's appearance is leisurely and comfortable.

After checking in and enjoying the welcome drink, I take in the scenery outside and the leisurely atmosphere of the lobby before heading into my room.

This room is on the second floor, with a balcony. Open the curtains and step out onto the balcony, and you'll see expensive yachts and ships moored at the marina, with a panoramic view of Nelson Bay. I think I'll sleep with the curtains open tonight.

If the weather had been nice, with clear skies and blue seas, it would have been even better, but stepping out onto the balcony, I could see the boats and the sea at a glance. I'm so looking forward to spending the day here.

After unpacking, I went to the hotel bar and ordered a beer. The aroma of the beer intoxicated me, and the relaxed atmosphere of the bar and lobby made me feel like I was going to get drunk today, even though I hadn't had a drink.

It's late afternoon and early evening, so most of the seats at the bar are empty except for two tables, creating a sense of leisure.

In this kind of atmosphere, a fruity ale would be more suitable than a lager, in terms of taste and aroma.

The hotel lobby, with its illuminated display cabinets, porcelain lamps hanging from the high ceiling, and a fire burning in the fireplace, seems to evoke a sense of leisure and subtle glamour.
Taking a morning walk, I recapture the hotel's appearance in photos. Hidden away in Port Stephens, this quiet yet relaxed hotel resort resembles a small European village.

In conclusion
I think a few pictures will show and tell more than words.
A night at a hotel I'd always passed by and only seen from the outside created another memory in Port Stephens.
While it might be a bit pricey for a one-night stay, avoiding the off-season in winter or during school holidays can offer a discounted rate for a truly enjoyable experience. I highly recommend you enjoy a leisurely day here.
